ReadA fictional story freely inspired by the book "The Egg" by Andy Weir, conceived by Art and written by him and other authors who will be named as the story unfolds.
The goal of this book is to bring the Game of Life a little closer to you and offer a small guide along the way. The authors try to be as authentic as possible. Some of them are also dreamers. And the world needs so many more of those. Want to join?
Since we authors are clever, the book is free charging for it would only invite karmic taxation but you're welcome to support us in other ways. Feel free to ask any individual author what they need right now.
I am not only an author, I am also a software developer. So my idea was to make all these books and chapters available via a binary tree stored on IPFS. I dreamed this night that this may cause the internet to explode one day because our planet is limited in resources. So I burried that idea. And my learning is we humans are unable to control these kind of chaos. In other words I eat an apple from the Tree of Knowledge in paradise and now I am not hungry anymore. I found my freedom. This leaves on rule to all of us. We only need one rule. do not harm any living being Aho
You blink, and feel a quiet, all-encompassing stillness settle around you. The pain and exhaustion that had shaped your life in its final stretch gone. You feel light. Freer than you ever have. And then you notice: you are not alone.
"Welcome," speaks a gentle voice, arriving like a melody from nowhere in particular. "It's over. You made it."
Confused, you search for the source of the voice, but it is everywhere and nowhere at once. After a moment of silence, it continues: "I am the one some of you call 'God', others call 'the Universe', and others simply 'Love'. I am what always was and always will be. And now you are with me again."
Your mind, still dazed by the vastness, begins to understand. You have died. Your body, worn down by stress and restlessness, gave out and yet… you feel more alive than ever before.
"So that's it, then?" you finally ask. "Everything I did, everything I built and achieved… is it simply over?"
The voice laughs softly a sound full of kindness and understanding. "No. Life is never simply over. Your path does not end here. In a certain sense, this is only a transition. A moment of reflection, before you decide how to continue."
"I decide how it continues?" Disbelief ripples through your voice. "But… my life never felt like I had much say in anything. It was just… a sequence. Tasks, duties, expectations. Where was my choice in all of that?"
The voice pauses, as if smiling. "You always had a choice, even when it was hidden from you. Some incarnations bring heavy burdens and challenges that cover everything else like a storm. But here, in this space, you have clarity. Freedom. And I will make possible every decision you wish to make."
"What does that mean, exactly?" You feel curiosity rising, paired with a lightness you're not yet used to. "I'm allowed to choose what… or who I become next?"
"Yes," the voice confirms. "You can send yourself back into the world as you are, or you can choose something entirely new. You can live a different life, in a different place, a different time. You can be someone who takes life lightly, or someone who shapes it in a different way. You can learn, heal, create… or simply be."
A shiver moves through you a sense of possibilities unfolding like an endless net before you. You feel the urge to ask questions questions of "why" and "how" and "what for." But before you speak, the voice continues:
"Do not forget that your choices have consequences. Every life you choose weaves into the fabric of the world. You are not merely an observer, but a co-creator. A life chosen consciously is an opportunity to shape the whole."
You breathe in deeply or rather, you have the sensation of breathing, though you have long since left your body behind. "What if I don't want to return? What if I am tired of fighting my way through the world?"
The voice is full of compassion. "Then you may rest. There is no compulsion, no rush. You can linger as long as you wish, or connect with everything in a way that transcends life itself. But know this… many find, in time, the desire to return. To write a new chapter. To have one more experience, this time more consciously with the knowledge that they can choose freely, every single moment."
You let the words settle over you. The freedom, the choice, the possibility of beginning again with the knowledge that you are not merely a spectator, but also a creator. The thought is as fascinating as it is frightening.
"And if I go back?" you ask. "How will I remember? How will I know that this time I truly have the choice?"
A deep peace moves through the voice. "The memory will fade, but the knowing remains. You will feel the freedom, even when you don't always consciously recognize it. Every person carries a trace of me within them a trace that whispers that they are more than they believe. Listen to that whisper, whenever you can."
You gaze into the infinite and recognize that everything is possible. A choice opens before you, clearer and more luminous than ever before. And deep within, you feel it: you are ready.
So now — please choose your path.
